Where is Evergreen, CO?

Evergreen is 30 minutes west of Denver in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Best of all, we’re surrounded by outdoor adventure and beauty no matter the season! Evergreen also has amazing weather: in the 70s and 80s during the spring, summer and fall as well as a fairly mild winter.

We are surrounded by amazing hiking trails for every skill level. There are dozens of trails within 5 to 20 minutes of our house that offer breathtaking views and challenging inclines.

Tee up at one of the dozens of great public golf courses within 30 minutes of our house. The terrain is challenging and many offer spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Ken is happy to make arrangements and join in.

Red Rocks Concert Schedule

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a geological phenomenon – the only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheatre in the world. Every artist aspires to play on this magical, spiritual and emotional stage. So plan your visit around seeing one of your favorite bands.

Red Rocks is only 20 minutes from our house. It also offers fun things to do during the day from guided tours, hiking, “yoga on the rocks” or getting in an amazing workout by running the steps. (Yes, this is a thing that tons of people do every day!)

Whitewater Rafting

Spend the day rafting down spectacular rapids on the Colorado River in Idaho Springs – which is only 20 minutes from our house. Rafting tours are available for every skill level and it’s a total blast.

Zip lining

Ride down Colorado’s longest and fastest ziplines located in a beautiful nature park nestled in the Rocky Mountains only 20 minutes from our house.

Boating / Sailing at Evergreen Lake

Evergreen Lake and the Lake House are the center of Evergreen where you can skate in the winter and boat in the summer. It is beautiful and the elk love the area.

Outdoor Ice Skating at Evergreen Lake

Evergreen operates the world’s largest Zamboni-groomed outdoor ice rink, a stunning 8.5-acre stretch of ice with 11 pond hockey rinks and a huge public skating rink. CNN declares that Evergreen Lake is one of the 10 most beautiful ice rinks in the world and Sunset Magazine rates Evergreen Lake as one of the top 10 ice skating rinks!

Historic Downtown Evergreen

Evergreen’s historic Main Street offers quaint shops, art galleries, restaurants, as well as a brewery and a winery. Don’t miss Stacy’s favorite coffee house – The Muddy Buck.

Downtown Denver

Denver’s downtown blends both a Wild West and urban chic vibe. Visit the Mile High City to explore great restaurants, breweries and museums (Aquarium, Art Museum and Botanic Gardens). Or catch a Rockies game at Coors Field. Head to Denver’s LoDo (lower downtown) district with 28 square blocks of restaurants, shopping, brewpubs and lots of live music.

Right at the foot the Rocky Mountains, among the piney foothills, Boulder is a great day trip and is an hour from our house. Boulder boasts hikingclimbing and biking trails as well as an award-winning dining scene, farm trail, splurge-worthy shopping, art galleries and community events throughout the year. There are also live music venues, breweries and nightlife hot spots you won’t find anywhere else. Home to University of Colorado – Boulder, the city has a great vibe.
